Misaki tuna selling, an authentic japanese fishing port (Lunch and tuna tasting included)

Let's take a look at the tuna sales in Japan's second largest unloading volume of tuna fish port.

Unlike the Tsukiji market, which requires a very early morning arrival (3 or 4 am), the port of Misaki will give you the opportunity to laze a little more without depriving you of the unique experience of the impressive sales of Japanese tuna.
After watching the fish bidding, enjoy a delicious breakfast at the fishing port and go for a nice bike ride in the city of Misaki!
The electric bike is a good way to get around and  enjoy the Misaki area, you will easily access many sites of interest such as the port area and the island of Jogashima.
We will organize the route of your bike ride according to your preferences.
After this pleasant visit of the region, a lunch made of freshly caught tuna awaits you.

Description

Do you know the nearest fishing port of Tokyo?
Tsukiji?
Wrong answer.
Tsukiji is the biggest fish market, but not a fishing port.
The correct answer is the Misaki fishing port on the peninsula at the southeast end of Kanagawa prefecture.
Unlike the Tsukiji market, one of the assets of the port of Misaki is to be still unknown to visitors although it is one of the largest fishing ports in Japan.
As a result, you will not have the stress of leaving at dawn to try and earn your place during the tuna bidding.
The method of purchase is different from that of Tsukiji where each gives his prize, and the best wins.
The port of Misaki doesn't adopt an auction method for the fish trade. Buyers submit their expectations for the fish they want and therefore, they watch fish in serious manner.
And you will be impressed to discover the value, sometimes amounting to several tens of thousands of euros of these treasures of the sea.

After our visit, how about a Japanese breakfast in a small shop where we can taste the best fish from the region?

Once your stomach filled up, we will leave for an electric bike ride around the harbor.
Not far from the port, we could access the small island of Jogashima crossing the bridge by bike. Jogashima is an island of 4 km in area, but is full of sites not to be missed. (the horseback cave, the Jogashima lighthouse, the remains of ancient gun batteries, the Awazaki lighthouse, the Umiu scenic overlook).
From the island, if not a hazy day, you will see Mount Fuji in the distance as if it were standing on the sea.
According to your tastes and your wishes, we will invite you to discover many other sites sightseeings in the area such as the Kainan Shrine which protects people from all accidents at the ocean; the Misaki showa hall, the home of the merchants of the past exhibiting life during the Showa period (1926-1989), or the Yacht Harbor located in the Aburatsubo area and its magnificent ria shoreline.

After we enjoyed cycling tour, we will, of course, have fresh tuna for a lunch.
The tour finish around 13:00 which give you enough time to visit Kamakura, Yokosuka or Yokohama in the afternoon on the way back.
