- Wagasa de Gifu (traditional umbrellas): the manufacture of wagasa of Gifu is a craft dating back to the Edo period and often practiced by samurai when they are off duties. Nowadays, there are still many wagasa workshops in the Kano district in Gifu city.

 


- Bamboo lanterns from Gifu: bamboo lanterns delicately wrapped in Mino paper (a high quality traditional Japanese paper). The soft light of this lantern soothes us.

 

- Minoyaki (traditional Japanese pottery): Japanese quality ceramic made in Tono region. (south east of Gifu prefecture)
