2019年 09月25日

The Rugby World Cup is in full swing in Japan, unleashing passions and bringing many visitors all around the country but especially in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, which is surrounded by no less than three stadiums during the competition. The opportunity for us to share with you our recommendations for nice visits to be made near the stadiums during your trip:
International Stadium Yokohama
  • International Stadium Yokohama :

Yokohama is the second largest city in the country after Tokyo with no less than 3.7 million inhabitants. Only thirty minutes from the center of the capital by train, you will discover an exciting city with many faces. Indeed, the city opened its gates to foreign countries even during the isolationist period of Japan, which makes its culture extremely mixed and interesting. You can therefore discover its impressive Chinatown, Motomachi Chukagai, where many delicious restaurants are waiting for you around the colourful streets that goes through the area. But Yokohama is best known for being a port city with beautiful bay lights, making it an extremely romantic, but it also is a place where you can have fun since there is a small amusement park and an old red brick warehouses now transformed into restaurants and shops around which are often held concerts, events, ...

  • Kumagaya Rugby Stadium :

Located in Kumagaya, Saitama prefecture, north of Tokyo, it is the perfect opportunity to discover the beautiful scenery of Chichibu, not far away. Indeed, this place is known to the Japanese for its local cuisine, impressive shrines but especially its nature. Rivers, forests, flower fields, you will have a multitude of choices to relax, ranging from hiking to rafting through zip-line and finish by bathing in one of the natural hot springs of the area. But it is also in Saitama prefecture that you will find the city that is nicknamed "little Edo", Kawagoe and its traditional neighborhoods that will plunge you into traditional Japan.

  • Le stade Ajinomoto de Tokyo :

Located in the city of Chofu, in the prefecture of Tokyo, this is the closest stadium to the capital and we can not recommend enough to take the opportunity to visit it. But if the city of Chofu may not have all the activities that the capital has, it still has the hidden gem that is Jindai-ji, the second oldest temple in Tokyo after the famous Senso-ji in Asakusa. This one, much less touristy, is located not far from the city and yet in the middle of nature with various soba restaurants and traditional souvenir shops.
