Ogijima
 
A pair island with Megijima, but smaller than the other, it takes 20 minutes by ferry from Megijima.
Ogijima has a particular scenery of stone walls like Megijima, but the walls are constructed for supporting the houses in slopes because there are not many flat grounds in Ogijima.

It is also selected as a place of Art Setouchi. Accordingly, you can enjoy many diversely artworks in the villages.
As it is a small island, and villages are found in the same location, so it is easily go around on foot.
"Ogijima's Soul" in ferry port, and "Walking Arc" in fishing port, "Project for wall painting in lane" and "Memory Bottle" in the village can be found in the island.

At the time, this island called as "Neko shima" (Cat island) because there were so many cats lived everywhere more than the artworks, so that the cats were castrated and number of cats are moderated. Then the quiet and peaceful scenery is recovered.
Still, friendly cats will say hello to you in each corner of the island.
