2019年 06月12日

Departure from Shinjuku station in an early morning, how can we imagine reaching to the Yatsugatake mountains, close to the volcanic chaine located between Nagano and Yamanashi prefectures only in 2.5 hours from the busy big city. This place, which is a little north than Fuji san (Mt Fuji in Japanese), but the environment is really wild. Sometimes, the hiking of this place gives the impression as if we are climbling to the Machu Picchu, then the travel to the highlands of Scotland, and finally the barren wasteland surrounded by Swedish or Finland's lakes. The diversity of landscape may be the reason why it is considered to be the most popular hiking path of the region of Nagano.
