Oshinohakkai

Oshinohakkai means the springs of the Oshino-mura village where it finds 8 pounds. It is one of the steps on the former pilgrims who headed to Mount Fuji and is listed in the world heritage as “Element of Fujisan, sacred place and artistic source of inspiration”. The springs originate from the snow melt of Fuji filtered by underground lava before emerging 20 years later. Therefore, the pound is full of clearwater where you can see fishes swim. Moreover, when you look at the pounds with Mt Fuji on the back and the traditional thatch roof houses all around, you face a pure and bucolic scenery . Take your time and enjoy Oshino-mura for lunch. We recommend also to taste Yomogidango (rice cake cooked with artemisia) that you can buy in the souvenirs shops and enjoy while you stroll in the village.
