Matsuyama Castle

It is one of the rare castles to keep its original aspect depite the fact that some of its building has been destroyed during the american bombing. The castle is listed on the Important cultural propriety of Japan, and its structure is Renritsu-Shiki style, which means that the main tower is surrounded on both sides by 2 others little towers. As it is built on a hill, it is also a Hirayama-jiro castle. It dates back to 1603, under the reign of a powerful Daimyo, Yoshiaki Kato.
