Akita Inu

Their ancestors are the Matagi dogs, the faithful companions of the hunters of the wild land of the north of Japan. the fearless dogs used to help the hunting bears and dears. Today, they are known as Akita dogs or Akita inu 秋田犬, the most faithful hunting dog of Japan. We often confuse with the spitz of Asia and the difference is the size which is much more larger. This breed is the pride of the people of the region of Akita, especially in the Odate city where many events, statues, and even a museum has been founded in their honour.
