Akita inu, the most loyal dog of Japan

Their ancestors are the Matagi dogs, the faithful companions of the hunters of the wild land of the north of Japan. the fearless dogs used to help the hunting bears and dears. Today, they are known as Akita dogs or Akita inu 秋田犬, the most faithful hunting dog of Japan. We often confuse with the spitz of Asia and the difference is the size which is much more larger. This breed is the pride of the people of the region of Akita, especially in the Odate city where many events, statues, and even a museum has been founded in their honour. In fact, it is considered to be a veritable national treasure.
The Akita dog is in general has the tawny red colour, sesame (tawny red with black tips), brindle and white.

In Tokyo, it is immortalized with a statue in the Shibuya station, to remember the story of Hachiko, who waited 10 years in front of the station for his master who was already dead.  Akita inu is so brave and loyal that we say when a warrior samurai dead dishonorly, he could take back their life by reincarnation of the dog Akita and could be live in bravery. The Akita inu is well known as playful, emortional and the protector defending his/her life for the danger of the master.

The north regions of Japan, they are not very much visited by the tourists but they have divers and incomparable sightseeing area, the wild nature and the unique culture. The winter is beautiful and there are many festivals in the summer, and there are onsen (hot springs), the gastronomy (Kiritanpo nabe: A Japanese hot pot dish with sticks of grilled rice), the sake, and especially, the warm nice people.

From 8th of May 2019, the Akita Inu no sato will be open, the big building totally dedicated to the dog Akita, located very closed to the station and it will be the first spot to visit for starting your stay in this region.
