Traditional summer festivals of the northeastern Japan!

Points of the tour

Nebuta festival of Aomori prefecture!

As the sun goes down, the night sky is lit up by the vivid colors of the marching parade. The „Haneto“ dancers enliven the whole scene with their rhythmic dancing, bringing a breath of fresh air to the festival.

As one the representative festivals of Japan, we hope you will enjoy the beauty of Nebuta festival to the fullest!

Kantō festival of the Akita prefecture!

The premise of the Kantō festival is taking a great number of Japanese lanterns, tying them up together and creating a structure out of them. This same structure can amount to about 50 kilos and its being balanced by the festival goers. Swaying of the lantern structure in the jet-black night sometimes gets compared to the swaying of the ears of rice in the wind, and it's quite easy to see why.

Whether it’s on the palm of their hand, their forehead or their hips, one thing is for certain – it takes a real talent to be able to pull this one off!

The representative sacred grounds of Japan, the Haguro mountain!

As sacred grounds of the Yamagata prefecture, Haguro mountain has been used as a place of ascetic practice ever since the olden days. In the middle of the forest, there is a beautiful five-storied pagoda that you will not be able to take your eyes off. If you keep climbing up the path leading to the top of the mountain, you will be met with the Japan's longest flight of stairs and avenue of cedar trees that will follow you all the way up to the top.

This is certainly one of those experiences that will completely relax your body and soul, making this a place you will want to visit at least twice.
